High end brand names shops can be found on Canton Road. I was there on my way to the ferry pier near HaborCity.

If you love branded goods, then this is the place to go if you're in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon area. There's Burberry, Prada, Coach, Longchamp, and LV among others. If not, then it's still a good place to go because it is also the road leading to the Harbour City shopping centre (where the famous 3 Marco Polo hotels are... More

This is one of the busiest most amazing shopping streets in HK and rather nicer than the malls in Causeway Bay. You can see the top designer names here at the southern end near the ferry terminal with individual shops as well as shopping malls. Window shopping is amazing. If it gets all too much turn right after a few... More

The southern end of Canton Road has the most lavish shops offering some of the most expensive stuff in Hong Kong. Every luxury watch brand and haut couture. The northern part ends at Prince Edward, but in Mong Kok, the everyday food market sells all daily necessities in a setting far from the southern end. Canton Road shows the extremes... More

Loads of shops to visit and bank balances can take a hit, brilliant to people watch, loads of side streets to wonder and experience away from the main drags, watch out for the numerous tailors trying to push you into their shops, must revisit at night just to see all the neons light up the street

I have never seen a massive queue outside a designer shop before it opens, unless there is a massive sale about to start. That domes up Hong Kong's appetite for designer shopping.

The bottom of Canton Road seems to be just another shopping area like Central and Causeway, or Oxford Street UK for that matter. However, if you are into taking photographs, or just like street markets, get up to Argyle Street and walk north through a very busy and interesting market used mainly, if not exclusively by locals. Fruit & veg... More

Canton Road is a major north-south street that runs parallel to Nathan Road on the Kowloon Peninsula. It links Jordan Road to the north with Salisbury Road to the south. It is an incredibly busy and crowded street due to its proximity to the Harbour City Shopping Mall and Star Ferry Pier. In the past 5 years or so, the... More

Personally I dont really like shopping, but for the shopaholics (with a lot of money) this is the perfect place to shop. All the big international brands are present in this street. I was very surprised to see that for some stores people were waiting in a queue in order to enter the stores. A disadvantage for me was that... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
