This is a small Chinese temple located at one end of the Stanley waterfront between the Murray House and Stanley Plaza and is considered one of the oldest temples in Hong Kong. A plaque near the temple entrance lists its long and rich history while an incense burner at the entrance fills the air with a nice aroma. The temple... More

This is adjacent to the shopping area and although in plan view can be easily overlooked. It is definitely worth a few minutes to stop in and have a look if you are already in the area.

I was rather disappointed by Stanley which is hardly the picturesque seaside place I had been led to believe however this temple set near the new shopping mall is pretty and peaceful and worth a visit.

This litle temple just off the main waterfront and very much used by locals for daily prays, is certainly worth a few minutes if you are Stanley. Your senses will go into overdrive with the smell of incense and bright colours. The 'guardian' encouraged us to wander and made sure we realised that we could take photographs. There is a... More

Read the story behind the temple before going inside. The incense was burning outside which lent a beautiful, calming feel to the sunny day. Was pretty active inside when we were there.

While in Stanley we perused the market, walked along the water and searched out this Temple. The outside was quite welcoming so we went in. It was beautifully done inside and the offerings to Buddha were in the form of fruits and flowers. The people in the Temple were very welcoming and friendly. The temple is located on a corner,... While shopping in Stanley I stopped in this temple for a quick visit. The people were friendly and the story posted outside was very interesting. Be sure to check out the special tree outside too!! (A miracle occurred there.)

One of the things to do in Hong Kong is to go to Stanley. While there you can visit the temple. It is rather small compared to other temples, but it is one of the many things you can do when you visit the waterfront area known as Stanley. See my review of "Stanley" for complete and detailed instructions on... More

Visited the temple as it is located so close to all other attractions in Stanley (note that Murry House, Black Pier, Stanley Plaza, beach are all strategically at the same area, they are like just next to one another!). The temple is rather small, nothing very interesting though which does not worth making a special trip for it. However, it... More

Built in the mid 1700s, this temple is quite small and not as impressive as the dozens of other temples in Hong Kong. If you are in the area near Stanley markets or plaza, it is worth stopping by but you shouldn't go out of your way to go.
