One of the quieter ones that we have visited and lovely to see this old building amongst the modern ones surrounding it, and that it has been kept for the locals. Surprised to see a turtle in the front courtyard and the inside was well...More

A nice contrast to the market and beach, the Buddhist temple reminds you of the breath of the culture of the region. Well kept.

This Tin Hau Temple in Stanley (there are several on Hong Kong Island) is located just off the commercial areas of Stanley Plaza and the boardwalk. A visit takes one back to older times when fishermen would head out to sea from Stanley but not...More

This is adjacent to the shopping area and although in plan view can be easily overlooked. It is definitely worth a few minutes to stop in and have a look if you are already in the area.

Read the story behind the temple before going inside. The incense was burning outside which lent a beautiful, calming feel to the sunny day. Was pretty active inside when we were there.

While in Stanley we perused the market, walked along the water and searched out this Temple. The outside was quite welcoming so we went in. It was beautifully done inside and the offerings to Buddha were in the form of fruits and flowers. The people...More
