St John's Anglican Cathedral is situated in the finance district of HK. It is an attractive, well-maintained building. If you go to sit inside it has an air of solemnity. It is worth calling in if passing the area.

On the way close to the peak tram. Nice church well maintained offering quietness. On Wednesday during lunchtime, piano concert free of charge to relax further.

This is well hidden if you are walking up through the garden, it is suddenly just there. The doors are open and very welcoming. There are also a couple of boards outside with plenty of information on. The cathedral is large and holds prayer sessions...More

Like a large parish church I was reminded of St George's Cathedral in Jerusalem, another centre of calm in a differently hectic city. After been taken to a series of Buddhist shrines across China by our Chinese host it was good to be able to...More

the address should have been a clue. The cathedral stands on Garden Street on the steep lope to where the Peak Tram is located. The structure is magnificent done in what I imagine to be a neo-gothic - light airy with high ceilings - lots...More

If you like old cathedrals in Hong Kong then you should go see this place. Was having some work done on one part of the structure but looked in good shape for the most part.

Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies
with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The
area widely known as Central is the major financial
hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up
to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open
late into the night and there just happens to be a
street party every weekend. Although everything seems
to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of
