The hike to Lion Rock was the best hike that we completed during a week long trip to Hong Kong. We enjoyed it even more than the hike along the Dragon's Back. The hike offered plenty of exercise, great views, and best of all, monkeys...More

If you are looking to do something outdoors-ey and something that isn't about the usual sky scrapers and party, lion rock is an easy option. Both in terms of accessibility to the place and the hike, lion rock scores big. We took a cab (uber...More

This mountain is the easiest mountain to access by public transport in Hong Kong. It’s good to go early in he morning and you will reach the peak in about 2 hours.

Slightly difficult to get to the beginning of the trail. Unusually for HK, not very well posted, but with help from locals... It is more or less 1 km of stairs up and the same down. My knees complained on the way down. Several places...More

If you want a less touristy and alternative hike to the popular Dragon back trail, Lion rock is a great choice as it’s easy to get to via public transport and is relatively short. The hike is of medium difficulty if you’re reasonably fit and...More
