If you are a serious history lover and keen to know more and more, you may visit the place else nothing interesting. So much renovation work was going on so few areas were closed.

An interesting glimpse into the late 19th century, complete with artefacts, including a playable musical instrument! It was deserted when we visited which made for good photos. Very much worth a visit.

A good glimpse into village life in Hong Kong from the late 19th century to the early 70's. Its really easy to get here via the MTR, and post-visit, the surrounding environs offers all the conveniences without the maddening crowds of downtown Hong Kong.
