This ritual is over in the space of 30 seconds, but if you like a little history. This is very much worth coming to see. The gardens area is opened up after the gun is fired, for about 30 minutes

While I wouldn't make a special trip, if you are in the area and it's close to noon I would definitely go. Depending on how punctual you are and how many pictures you want to take, you could literally arrive at 11:59.55 and be gone...More

It happens exactly at 12 noon. It is only fired once so if you arrive at 12.01 then you have missed it!
