I can't believed that having worked and lived in HK for many years, this is the first time I came to this great place ! There is so much to do and see - whether it's lone hiker or group of friends or with families! People with kids should certainly bring them to this place which is a mini zoo... More

If you bring kids and want to enjoy a little bit hiking fun without exhausting your little ones too much, here you are. Cheap shuttle buses go up the hill at regular intervals. You can stop at designated spots, linger around and then get on another one to go further. I love the several gardens here. View of 600+ meters... More

I caught the MTR and then a bus to get to this location. I enjoyed my time here...although I got ate up by mosquitos. I rode the shuttle to the top and hiked my way down i spent over 3hrs here. Beautiful gardens and views. Animals were nice to see. Orchid area was disappointing since they weren't in bloom. There... More

A farm with long history. Initially established by Kandoorie brothers to help poor local farmers. Now open for kids and adults: orchid garden, fruits trees, lots of local widelife. It also provide a shelter and home for many abandoned or hurt animals. Provide education to next generation how to take care our nature. Notice boards at farm entrance tells you... More

We visited this farm with our 2 year old. It is situated on the side of steep hill so we were very grateful for the mini bus service to the top! I was delighted to see the parrots and birds of prey! Their enclosures are exceptionally well though out and spacious. We will definitely be back!

This is a terrific place and lovely escape from the city. Great place to go with or without children as there are lots of things to see and do. There are marked trails and hikes and lots of animals to see particularly in the lower farm area. It is a super hike up to the upper farm area but if... More

The entry fee of HK$30 is worth it to enjoy peaceful walks in nature, enjoy beautiful views and breathe in (relatively) fresh air. It's easy to get lost, though, and it's advisable to return to one of the main roads around 16:00 to catch one of the buses back to the entrance (closing time is 17:00).

We discovered this amazing nature reserve based on a local family's recommendation. It's a surprisingly well managed wilderness park owned by a private trust. It's located somewhat far out in the New Territories. But it's actually quite easy to get to. (See end of this review.) What's to love: Immense botanical diversity, kept in a relatively "wild" form, and yet,... More

Built on a hill, the Farm research, breed new species of plants and animals, and design educational trails that are not only good for children but adults also. Those with strong legs can hike up the 300M hill. Those who want a more relaxed tour can take the shuttle bus that takes you up. The driver is the guide too,... More
