We went by twice during the week cos we wanted to buy bags, clothing for family. There were cheap hong kong t shirts like $5. Also cute bags, faked bags, etc. However, it was crowded. Just to soak in the hong kong street scene. More tourists. You can bargain but do resoect the seller as they r seeking to make... More

I love street markets and this is one of the best! Narrow rows of outdoor vendors line the streets in Kowloon selling everything and anything you could possibly want. Too much fun for words!

Manic from the minute we set foot on the street, you had to haggle for every purchase which I don't mind but the starting prices were completely unrealistic. I felt like a Salmon swimming upstream and did not enjoy it for a second. I would not recommend it as there are plenty of other opportunities to grab a bargain elsewhere... More

Great place to buy knock off purses, sunglasses, clothes and jewelry. To get your best price possible walk away and when they let you leave you'll know they've given you their lowest price. Best to go in morning before the crowds get there.

Incredible opportunity to rehearse about your "bargaining skills" haha; nothing out of ordinary, but you could find those cheap souvenirs instead of getting them at the airport.

I stayed in Mong Kok which was a street away from Ladies Market, so every night we would drop by the market on the way home (it closes around 10.30pm). They offer a pretty wide variety, with rather nice items. Many fake goods (which i'm not a fan of), and also other interesting stuff that are actually worth buying. You... More

I bought Qty 10 USB Drive for HKD 100. Unfortunately none of it actually works. Upon opening the actual USB enclosure I found that the actual memory chips are missing from the boards. So be careful if you want to buy anything that you can not verified there and then.

Staying in Mong Kok

Neighbourhood Profile
Mong Kok
It’s one of the highest density districts in the world, so come to Mong Kok prepared for action. Home to every market, restaurant and shopping arcade imaginable, Mong Kok is the one-stop shop to satisfy all your shopping needs. Dust off your finest negotiation skills and dive into the bartering frenzy. Similar retailers will conveniently congregate in the same area forming easy to remember references such as “flower street” and “sneakers street.” Here you will also find various local delicacies being served at street snack shops or hole-in-the-wall restaurants. One reliable rule of thumb: the smaller the place, the better the food.
