Perfectly located near Qinhuai river. It's a bit small but well constructed/designed. For Chinese, this is a sacred place for learning and other moral reasons. However, the management of the place is trying monetize everything, which is kind of sad.

The food market is a great way to experience different dishes from different vendors using a smartcard system.

Certain things are unavoidable if you travel. One of them are the tourist points that can be a trap if you're not aware of its dynamics. We enjoyed this market all through: nice local food to taste by pointing what would appeal to us; a...More

The title speaks for itself. For anyone interested in trying local food where tourists don't go, then this is the place for you. Obviously a tour guide that speaks your language is required as no one will speak English (or likely any other language aside...More

We absolutely loved it. The people watching is great and we enjoyed searching for little trinkets. Some of the stuff is junky for sure but we had fun looking around.

If I didn’t remember wrong, the museum and the exhibitions normally close at 21:30, but the food streets and some shops may close later.
