It was cool in the jade art inside but we didn't get a guide so we were just walking around looking nose inscriptions for things with no idea what they were or how old they were or what the significance was.

Pros: the temple has informative displays about the imperial education and examinations system; it isn't really worth it to queue up and pay to enter the temple; the temple area has old-Chinese-style architecture. Cons: the temple is touristy (the staff will try to make you...More

Wasn't really impressed with this place. The river looked nice and we didn't go inside the temple but the whole area was overcrowded and the food was overpriced. The shops inside were the same as any shopping centre with the rest just selling similar souvenirs....More

( I made a mistake of giving one star to this place instead of 4 stars. Somehow I could not reverse the mistake) During the day, this area is full of tourists as there are numerous eateries, shops and souvenir outlets. After dark, it comes...More
