Staying close to the attraction we visited it both day and night. Both brings with it very different experiences. Festive area with lots of local food to try. However one notices that everyone sells the same stuff! It is however lovely to walk around and the temperature in November was just nice. Also great place to learn more about the... More

It's quite rare to find Confucian temples, so I quite enjoyed visiting this place, especially as it provides quite a lot of information about this hugely influential philosophy (as well as the life of Confucius).

If you are looking for affordable shopping, then this is the place in Nanjing you need to go to. You get almost all kinds of products here which you want to carry back home and the best part is that you can bargain with the shopkeepers. If you have a Chinese colleague with you then surely you can buy stuff... More

Perhaps the main tourist attraction in Nanjing City, this place is better seen in the evening when colored lights reflect on the river. This is a good place to stroll where you will find lots of shops, restaurants and sights. Don't forget to visit the Confucian Culture Center located within the Temple with tickets of only RMB 30 (US$4) per... More

Nice place to have a look at the ancient china. Many shops for souvenirs around as well as restaurants. The only downside is that is a bit crowded during weekends.

It's great for shopping, and finding all sorts of food, but is extremely busy at all times. Would recommend keeping an eye on your belongings, but otherwise enjoy this great tourist spot!

This area is surrounded by canals and there are many shops, restaurants and leisure options. The boat ride along the canal is really nice and at night there is a light show. The actual confucian temple is very interesting, the only inconvenient is that it is very packed with tourists.

Lovely old Chinese place, with the added bonus of river cruises.Plenty of small shops with some good bargains, but look carefully.
