Wednesday visit!

Our tour guide took us here on a Wednesday, and it seems to be a holy day, it was fantastic!! We even love it more than Jokhang Temple!

Our tour guide took us here on a Wednesday, and it seems to be a holy day, it was fantastic!! We even love it more than Jokhang Temple!

This is a small temple not too far from the Barkhor area but with much less pilgrims and tourists as compared to the more popular Jokhang Temple. Just outside the temple, you can buy a trio of wine spirit, water and juniper leaves as an offering within the temple compound. The inside is filled with the usual incense and butter... More

Local said it's a safe monastery to wish for fortune (yes, some other monasteries may not be very good for your karma to pray for fortune). The best day to visit this monastery is every Wednesday, when lots of pilgrims (local Tibetan) go there, they drank beer and chang (barley wine), danced in the courtyard.
