Out of the 128 small islands on Pulau Seribu, only 45 islands are open for visit. Can't say no more; this is the perfect place if you're into island-hopping and water activities such as snorkelling and diving. The more popular islands, which we visited, were Bidadari, Sepa, Putri, Alam Kotok and Pantara. You are bound to experience crowds here during... More

I went to one small island close to Jakarta. Around 30 minutes from the indonesian capital. The reception wad very nice. Drink, food and traditional dance. We went around the island and noticed that we couldn't swim anywhere unless a very small beach with 10mts wide. The lunch was ok and the afternoon was spent next to the pill. I... More

Came here for a weekend holiday and was not impressed. Ika, the sales person, took my money (800,000 Rupiah per head) at the pier and did not give us any briefing. The ferry driver was 15 minutes late and the ferry itself took 3 hours (one of the parts was broken) instead of 2 hours. The ferry is suppose to... More

Thousand Island is easy to reach, one and a half hour sailing from Jakarta by speed boat. We chose for a house stay on Harrapan Island. It is price worthy and comfortable. From Harrapan Island we went Island hopping with a small local boat. Activities are snorkeling fishing, swimming and BBQ on the beach. Bring your own cooler box for... More

If you are in Jakarta and need a break, this is well worth it. There are many islands to choose from. Boats normally leave from Ancol early morning, its a great short weekend break on real tropical islands. Chose your island carefully and look for reviews on the Island you choose.
