Well the good part is that its a fixed price shop so no need to haggle, just see the tag and decide. The not so good part is that the shop is a maze :) with lot of stuff carefully packed in a space and not much room to move around. If you don't mind that - this is the... More

Everything is available here. Before going shopping anywhare else, go here first to get an orientation on what's available and at what price range they are. Small compact store is making your energy saved. Price is reasonable and fixed, so no need to waste your time bargaining. However, beware of pickpocket, seriously!

Excellent selection at very reasonable prices. The sales staff too were very helpful. It is always crowded and the clothes that are displayed towards the walls were difficult to access since they have installed a big step right along, making it impossible for me to climb that to look at the clothes. So, ultimately, I had to buy the materials.... More

We discover this place during the last night at Yogyakarta, The Cabaret was held on top floor of the building, so on the way out we found there a lot of souvenir selling there. If you want a good quality and design souvenir compared to the one selling at the road side or tourist area this is the place. Price... More

I like to buy batik in Hamzah batik as it will be value for money. Everytime visiting Jogja, I will go to some other shops for batik shopping, but at the end, I will buy in Hamzah batik due to value for money. You will know when you already at home and using item bought in Hamzah batik.

I spent about 1 1/2 hours browsing and picked up a few items. The price range is wide, and the designs, pretty varied and well selected. I found some designs I like but not in the size or colour I wanted, and staff often managed to locate options from the store. Apparently, there is simply too much too display. Batik... More

FYI.. Hamzah (Mirota) Batik operating hour is up to 9 pm but noone is allowed to enter anymore at around 8.45 pm. The guard I met was totally impolite, I tried to say that it was still another 10mins to 9 at that time I reached and I had run so far along Malioboro street just to get there in... More

They have a great interior and i watched the woman who make batik live! They have many kind of batik and other souvenirs. I thought souvenirs are expensive there, but it is affordable and cheap! Will visit this place again on my next trip 😍

Recommended to go there by our drivers. We spent 2 hours there before heading to airport. All items are priced with tags(nett). Not only it save your energy in bargaining, you are free to choose items that meet your budget. Lots of items to choose ranging from keychains to paintings. Of course you paid what you get. There are expensive... More

This place is a historical multi-floored Souvenirs Supermarket, a Cabaret Theater on top floor combined with a Eatery. The supermarket is nice and convenient since you don't have to bargain unlike other market, with aircon as a bonus! The highlight is every weekend they offer a show, mostly performed by ladyboys. The owner is a very important person for the... More
