We enjoyed our visit to this museum and the German restaurant adjacent to it. The museum is small but has many interesting photos and artifacts related to Indonesia's history and the free guide was very informative and spoke good English.

Entrance fee Rp50,000, cannot just walk inside, have to wait for tour guide to lead the journey. We wait for about 20 minutes and join with another 3 tourist then lead by staff who explain very well and showing us on each section in the museum in sequence. The environment of each section is quite unique, and many impressive paintings of... More

Perhaps, because it's a private museum, it's very well-maintained. Although the ancient goods are not that many, what was really nice is that we can learn about the Javanese kingdom. The guide was really professional, and they really know their thing (honestly, I was intrigued and am now very interested to learn the history of Javanese kingdom). They're telling stories... More

This is a private museum. One of the best attraction as they provide English speaking guide who patiently and clearly explains. I like the batik origin tour. Romances of the royal family was nice to hear. This location is around Merapi. You are not allowed to take pictures here.

Creative and beautiful museum and quite informative. Unique Museum in the middle of the Outskirt forestry environment. Superb collection and good Tour Guide who communicate well with the visitor and have a good sense of humor. No photo taking is allowed in the museum except outside the museum.

The place is about 20 kms from the city center. It is up to the higher place so the atmosphere is very cool and fresh. It is best place to get refreshed from the terrible traffic down at the city. So if you want to learn about royal family, this place is good to start. You maybe want to stop... More

It is appropriate if the visitors are prohibited from taking pictures because it's personal collection. So visitors will focus explanation of the guide that explains each photo and collections of...
