It's been awhile since my last visit, but the place is still beautiful. This time, though, I have the pleasure to walk through the rice paddies again. Most of the time this season has been rainy which is good for the fields. It's also beautiful when the fogs cover the mountains, it's so picturesque!

Really lovely to see the terraces up close and get to walk through them with a knowledgeable guide. Amazingly stunning. Fog tends to descend quite regularly though... so view comes and goes.

Nice views near the road. Rice terraces going up the mountains. Some allow you to walk out between the terraces, but be careful as the fall is at least 10 ft and the path narrow!

We passed through this site while going to Sagada, I was amazed at how many mountains they turn into terraces just so that the people around here would be able to plant properly. You can just imagine the effort, time, sweat, blood and tears the native placed into these mountains, Definitely a site to see!

We were in doubt whether we should go to Banaue and Batad at all, or just skip the northern part of Luzon. To all who are in doubt I say: GO! The views are amazing, both in Banaue and Batad. It is without doubt worth the trip in the night bus!

Truly awesome and amazing on how such a masterpiece can be created by human hands in its perfection! Banawe Rice Terraces was crafted by our forefathers to sustain their life. Little did they know and no intention probably that one day, this place will be a tourist attraction. A short stay is not enough to fully enjoy the luxury that... More

I did a 3 day trek that took me from Pula to Cambullo to Batad and back to Banaue. It was strenuous but well worth it. The villages are lovely as are the people. Two key tips: 1) take chocolates or sweets for the kids, and 2) on day 2 when you reach Batad, go directly to the water falls... More

The terraces in Banaue are among the easiest to see as they are visible from the main road over the village, but they nevertheless superb. Stop at one of the viewing points and enjoy. You can also make short hikes in the rice fields directly from Banaue starting near the college.
