One of the best beaches, sand is as white as boracay with very few tourist. Locals were very friendly. Best time to visit is during summer. Don't miss their Panagat festival Every May 8-10, lots of activities. The LGU offers their tourism hotel for a cheap price. Do try Hacienda Maria trip, package includes cave exploring, native wine tasting (lambanog)... More

A beautiful, less traveled by beach area. Experience the Philippines without the tourist headaches! This authentic fishing community is home to another beautiful beach, with much less traffic and local prices!

The place is amazing, the beaches are like in Boracay but no commercialization. A lot of cheap place to stay too. You'll need a bus or van to get to Buruanga town, then rent out a small boat at Japan port to go to Hinugtan beach, they have resorts there for overnight stay then you can have a day trip... More

I lived on Hinugtan Beach for 3 years and that's a paradise you can still live. Far from connection and wifi, you can do it if you really want to live in peace you have to try this experience.

If you will ask what the Island of Boracay looks like before? You must visit Hinugtan Beach (One of the Untouched White Sand Beaches of Buruanga). I've been in some of the Best Beaches in the Country such as Carabao Island in Romblon (Dubbed as the Next Boracay) and Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte (Named as the Boracay of the North)... More

Buruanga, the Aklan town next to Malay, where Boracay sits, is a gem just waiting to be cut and polished! It's stunning sunsets and whitesanded/rocky beaches is a complement to the great sun-sand experience anyone can have in Boracay. As a 30 minute ride from Caticlan, Buruanga is a must-see.

Buruanga beach is somehow less invaded, hence quite and clean. You may mingle with locals here and enjoy local foods.

It is a quiet beach ,I saw more natives than travelers here.I guess it is good for people who want to take some serious shooting, or have a walk with your new dating...
