I have visited Simala in the past and every time I visit, I can feel the miraculous presence of Mama Mary. Devotees come in droves to pray and ask for guidance from the image and figure of the Virgin Mary. Make sure to come early to avoid the afternoon crowd

Filipinos in the religion are a wonderful thing to feel and understand, as you may not see many countries so devoted to their believes. The place itself is worth a visit of course as... More

I never thought I can see a church this beautiful in the Philippines. The design is really wow. Problem though is that this is really far away from the city and is difficult to go to.

We visited the Simala Shrine on Monday 4/17/2017. We had arranged for a private taxi (3000 PHP) to pick us up at 6:00 a.m. The drive from Lapu-Lapu to the Shrine was only two hours, since we left so early. However, the return trip takes much longer because of traffic upon arrival back in Cebu City. You will want to... More

While this shrine has no real historic significance it is very beautiful and worth the time to go visit. Locals swear that you can receive miracle cures here. I'm not sure about that but the church and the surrounding grounds are quite beautiful.

Travel time from Cebu City would take 2hours but seeing the magnificent Simala shrine once you arrive is worth the time spent on the road. Catholics flock the Shrine to pray to Mama Mary or hear mass. There is a daily mass at 12:00noon. Every Sunday there is a novena and the rosary is prayed before the Holy mass. Most... More

This church is amazing. Its about 2+ hours from Cebu City but worth the ride. Its huge and they are still doing more construction. The inside is a amazing and beautiful as the outside and nice views of the surrounding area. Definitely lots of photo opportunities. Its free to see but the do accept donations if you wish to give.

It's around 2-3 hr drive from Cebu City... Simala Shrine or the Monastery of the Holy Eucharist located at Marian Hills, Lindogon Sibongan, Cebu is amazing. A church inside is full of life-sized saints and other religious stuff. The Monastery is the place where the ‘Mga Monghe ni Maria’ lives. The place is breathtaking, solemn where you can pray /say...
