Veggies and clothes shops

Lots of clothes shops in this Lane. Also some Indian accessories, henna and veggies. Nothing really special here.

Fascinating place to see in Singapore. You would think that you are in a city in India. Unlike any other part of Singapore. I've never seen so much gold! I really enjoyed people watching and window shopping.

Nothing special. Don't go. Same as little India with nothing new to offer. Not an attraction at all.

Located near Little India MRT Station. If you want to buy something that very "India", you must visit this place. Not very crowded eventhough in the rush hour.

Definitely interesting to see. A taste of how the city once was before the high rise buildings moved in. Have lunch here too, delicious Indian food.

This street is no different from any you'll find in this area. I think it's only listed as its wider and no cars but it's small and not many shops. A side road from the main drag, blink and you'll have missed it! Nothing wrong with it but not anything to 'look forward to either!

I walked down this street today, having walked past it along Serangoon Road many times in the past. There really isn't any compelling reason to visit this particular lane though: indeed, the parallel streets are arguably more interesting (Dunlop Street, Upper Dickson Street). Campbell Lane itself has very little of interest to the visitor.

This is one of the streets in Little India, part of it is closed at the moment for some major road works. Houses look nice but the street and surrounds are less clean then the rest of Singapore also some people tend to stare at you.

The area is colourful but to be honest had a rather seedy feel to it. I could find nothing of interest here beyond the initial 5 minute photostop.

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
