Affectionately known among locals as the "durian", Esplanade is one of the busiest arts centres in the world with about 3,000 performances presented yearly. Spot our prickly cladding in the middle of the central arts and cultural district, and take in the view from the Marina bay waterfront where our Outdoor Theatre is situated. Coming to Esplanade means that you're in for a complete lifestyle experience, from enjoying a night out at a show, to shopping and dining. And whether you're a first-timer, an ardent patron or fellow arts lover, you're most welcome here and we'll do our best to give you a great experience with the arts.

Review by Dr Sim. Impressive Building. Recommend for Tourists to Visit. Something like the Sydney Opera House by less history. Take a Selfie. Nickname the Durian by the Locals. Regards Dr Sim

It's easily accessible and is a great place for art lovers and even families with young children. We enjoy the plays that take place here, and there's a free play area for children at Pip's Playbox, Level 3. I would really recommend this place.

An evening can be spent here, they got a show with light, fire and water works with some story to narrate. Huge crowd, get in early for better seats, it may be boring for avid travellers.. But families with kids might enjoy it...

This is an interesting piece of architecture from the outside and a nice opera house from the inside. We enjoyed the "Forbidden City" musical here (Aug 8) and were impressed: with the performance and with the audience - singing "Home" (the 1998 NDP theme song)...More

Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the
traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to
dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is
the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a
world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars,
and other attractions all geared towards pure
entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands
provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo

Hi there! Yes, if the seats are not labelled (restricted view), you should have a clear view of the stage from Circle 1 all the way up to Circle 3. Hope this helps, thanks!
