What a wonderful place! Air conditioned and free and such a friendly welcome as you go in. It is fairly small, over two floors but does a great job of reminding us what happens when the fire service isn't around. Some beautifully kept old appliances, which if you love old style engines would be a real treat for you. We... More

My 4 year old and I visited this station/museum this morning whilst on holiday in Singapore. On arrival we were greeted with smiling faces and information about the complex. You walk around at your own pace. There are some older fire appliances to view as well as interactive displays upstairs. After completing the tour the staff which are retired emergency... More

Worth a visit if you have an hor to spare. the old firefighting equipment is interesting though I found the upper floor exhibits not as good. Just be aware its an old building so stairs are the only way to get to the second floor

Entry is free to this air conditioned museum. When we visited the guides were retired fireman who clearly had a passion for their work and the history of the Fire Service. With examples of all their fire engines downstairs the first floor was a revealing insight into their equipment, how it is used and stories about major fires and how... More

Stumbled across the Central Fire Station during our recent trip to Singapore, we were greeted by a very friendly curator who also served as part of the Singapore Civil Defence Force, he was also more than happy to share some of his stories from his time in service, which was an absolute pleasure to hear. The station itself has some... More

Well worth the look. Free tour inside of the history of the fire dept of singapore. They only need a fire dept when there was a big fire and many lives lost. Air conditioned for comfort.

A place every Fire Fighter should visit. Not big, but great. The Museum is right next to the actual Fire Station, if there is a call, you can see the Real Fire Engines responding.

This is highly recommended for all ages, families or individual. The fun and excitement we experienced was unforgettable. You can try on the fireman costume, ride the fire truck, ambulance and red rhino. Experience operating the real fire hose. Watch the fireman demo what they do during emergencies. Free plastic fireman helmet are given to kids. The hats are embossed... More

Best time to visit is Saturday morning when it’s open house from 9am to 11am (in practice starts to end about 10.30am) to see the modern fire-fighting equipment. We saw some interesting modern very hi-tech gear then continued into the heritage collection. The oldest fire-engine dating from the 1880s is a replica, others are all genuine old vehicles, making an... More

My husband being in the Fire Service we had to go in! We spent a good half hour in there. It's free to go in, you just have to sign yourself in. Yes, it's not very big but it is interesting and we really enjoyed our visit. Got to sit in the back of a fire engine so I think... More
