This is a must go as one can see the size of the whale yaw so nicely and as we went on a sunny day you can have a picknick on a bench just next to the arch. There are nice flowers and bushes blooming in December.

You can't miss it, if you are walking through town. It is a nice photo op with the cathedral in the back ground. Hold onto you're hat, it seems to be always windy on the Falklands

Worth a quick pic with the cathedral in the background but not as impressive as seeing whale bones on the beaches or museum of South Georgia. Seems a bit unnatural and gimmicky.

This is an icon of Stanley and while it's visible from your tender if you're arriving by ship, it's still worth seeing up close. The garden surrounding it is truly lovely.

Gives a true impression of the sheer size of these magnificent mammals. A reminder of the tragic history of whale hunting.

This is possibly the most beautiful place I have seen. The people are friendly, they live in dilapidated houses with tin roofs & have sheep in their gardens but it has a character unique to this place & I would hate to see it change. Just a short walk down the coast, you can walk among penguins - amazing.

You only have to see an image of this arch to know that you are in the Falklands. It is the Marble Arch of Stanley. It stands at the front of the Christ Church Cathedral and looking from outside the two make an impressive sight.

The whale bones are amazing, thankfully they no longer hunt whales for decoration like this. However it is very historical. The whole port is very English - loving the red mail box and telephone booth.
