Cape Horn was absolutely beautiful. The view was amazing even when it started to rain. The poem of the Albatross by Sara Vial moved me to tears. While actually driving at the beach of the island was very scary, as you are in a small boat on rough waters, I genuinely enjoyed the experience. While I do suggest this mostly... More

We are seasoned sailors and were really happy we are! This is where the Pacific meets the Atlantic and Antarctica oceans and we are told therefore that the seas are always rough here. It was so rough that we didn't get any photos sadly but we can say that we did sail around it. It is a unique shape recognized... More

Beautiful place to cruise. Dress warmly on your ship and get up early to see the views as you pass near the "End of the World". The area is primarily in Chile. The famed Terra Del Fuego is in this region!

So glad we were able to do the landing on the zodiac boats - as weather here is often an issue. Upon docking there is a pretty steep climb up narrow wooden stairs that bring you up the cliff side of the island. Once up the steps, you cross the island on a wooden walkway that protects the terrain. It... More

We were on a cruise ship going around Cape Horn. That day was cloudy, drizzling chilly rain was obscuring our view somewhat. I was determined to be outside and take pictures even though I had left my umbrella in the cabin. I took my camera out in the drizzle and placed my sweater over it to protect it as best... More

We took a four night Australis cruise that concluded with rounding and landing on the Cape. We were very lucky with the weather and did set foot on the Cape. The steps to the Albatross monument are quite steep and the pathways windy. There is a chill in this part of the world. Only one boat can land at a... More

Very thankful that the weather cooperated long enough to disembark here, climb the steps and make it up to the monument. A unique experience. Don't forget to get your passport stamped on your ship!

Its a nice place after a visit to Antarctica nice weather and less swell on the waves as it is required to land on a zodiac. A long way up but its worth the climb as the wind is mild that day we have clear sky which give you a very good view of the sorrounding. On the top you... More

We cruised by Cape Horn on our trip around South America . This is a barren rocky island on the lower part of South America. The weather was overcast but we were able to see the island and the Ship gave us a certificate to document the event.
