It is here that you feel like you are at the end of the world. We did a 3 night cruise with Australis Expeditions and they were able to get us to Cape Horn. Although it was a bit windy and raining we were able to go on land to see the sights. Pretty amazing to see and the views... More

Beautiful, mystical auro surrounding this place, especially for the sailers. The wind, waves post great challenge for renowned navigators in history. It was an honor to shake the hands of the family stationed here!

We took the 7 day cruise from Ushuaia, Argentina to Punta Arenas, Chile and back to Ushuaia and are incredibly happy that we did! The highlight was to land twice on Cape Horn! The first landing, by zodiac boat, was, remarkably, in absolutely still seas, with clear blue skies overhead. The second, in 3' - 5' waves, was with overcast... More

We took the four day cruise on the "Australis" from Punta Arenas, Chile to Ushuaia, Argentina. One of the highlights was sailing out into the Drake Passage to pass Cape Horn. The day we were there the seas were rolling with four foot swells which prevented us from boarding the Zodiacs and going ashore. While we were disappointed that we... More

Australis, Expedition Cruises, is the best way to get to Cape Horn and actually land there. An absolutely unique experience, without comparison.

We visited Cape Horn from the Stella Australis cruise ship. It was a breezy day with light rain - just the right atmosphere - but calm enough to get ashore.

Cape Horn was absolutely beautiful. The view was amazing even when it started to rain. The poem of the Albatross by Sara Vial moved me to tears. While actually driving at the beach of the island was very scary, as you are in a small boat on rough waters, I genuinely enjoyed the experience. While I do suggest this mostly... More

We are seasoned sailors and were really happy we are! This is where the Pacific meets the Atlantic and Antarctica oceans and we are told therefore that the seas are always rough here. It was so rough that we didn't get any photos sadly but we can say that we did sail around it. It is a unique shape recognized... More

Beautiful place to cruise. Dress warmly on your ship and get up early to see the views as you pass near the "End of the World". The area is primarily in Chile. The famed Terra Del Fuego is in this region!

So glad we were able to do the landing on the zodiac boats - as weather here is often an issue. Upon docking there is a pretty steep climb up narrow wooden stairs that bring you up the cliff side of the island. Once up the steps, you cross the island on a wooden walkway that protects the terrain. It... More
