Founded in 1856, Cousino Macul is the only winery in Chile amongst those established in the 19th century that continues in the hands of the original founding family. The company remains 100% under family control, producing limited quantities of fine wines. The mission of Cousino Macul is to produce world-class wines that are unmistakably Chilean, carrying the distinctive character of the Maipo Valley.

I totally recommend taking the bike tour of pretty Vina Cousino Macul. I was in a group of just two with Chris, our very amiable and articulate guide from ‘La bicicleta verde’. We were able to get out into the vineyard, away from the busier...More

My partner and I bought a bottle of Chardonnay (really yummy) and asked if we could sit anywhere in the grounds to enjoy it. The guy behind the bar said yes, but the angry security man definitely said no. Ended up sitting near to the...More

We learned the history of the wine making in the valley. We were able to see the museum, the cellar and the vats (new and old). It cost about $20 per person and children under 18 are free. We opted out of the tasting but...More

One of the most traditional wineries in Chile and few that still belongs to the family founders. Perfect explanations of the process of preparing wines by comparing the old form with the modern way of making them. Perfect

This winery tour has a few beautiful spots, but the visit and the wine itself are nothing special. For those into wine, one must say the quality of the wines produced here is rather average/mediocre, even their better wines. The tour gets to the bodega...More

This was the last of our wine tour visits which covered Mendoza too. Here were the most interesting cellars with giant wine barrels towering over us. The grounds are attractive too. We joined in an all English speaking tour with and excellent guide who was...More

Great history behind this winery, ample variety and courteous, professional tour and tasting. Tasting amount on the little size, but fun and informative. Easy to get to from Santiago by metro then short taxi ride to the entrance. Will definitely return!

We walked, 2 km. But Uber works well there, so took that back to Metro station.
