The place is packed with people and packed with incredible quality fruit and veg, meat, and foodstuffs of every kind. It's 60,000 square metres, or the equivalent of two olympic pools by 12 olympic pools. With that many stalls, and so many decisions to make,...More

It is not the best market I have ever been to but it is really good. The size of it is the most amazing part. Seems like it takes up blocks and blocks, multiple buildings and a wide variety of produce, meats, and other items.

A wide variety of products are sold in its surrounds, principally fresh fruit and vegetables from the Chilean Central Valley.

Just an average market, but that does not mean it's not worth a visit. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, clothes and local eateries.

Set in a very busy set of streets with folks and trucks in constant turmoil. A real slice of life unlike the more quaint and "pretty" city markets. We would rate this as "don't go unless you have lots of time on your hands".

An absolutely incredible Farmers type vegetable market. They also have Meat and Fish it's really a pretty authentic experience. I paid about dollar a pound for cherries and strawberries and had a thoroughly enjoyable time looking at everything else
