How did they DO that? Reach into my pocket at the front of my body and steal my phone? Other than that, it's a busy place on the weekend with buskers etc. The church is magnificent and the museum very good. But spoiled somewhat by...More

It is a place for people who like people. It is a big and nice square full of people sitting on benches, playing, talking or simply passing by, there you can find other nice places to visite.

Nothing much to do there, packed with people. Beware of pickpockets during holiday seasons. There's plenty of tourist guides in there.

The park is very peaceful, and although crowded by natives and tourists alike, it's a nice place to sit as you go through Santiago Centro. The Correo Central and the Catedral are right there so you have two more sights in close proximity.

There are a lot of sights, for example Cathedral de Metropolitano, zero kilometer signs, and old copper map of the city, post office etc. Worth to walk around and after drink a coffee in the corner of the square.
