Was crowded every night that I was in Santiago. Large number of restaurants/bars. Something for every taste. Usually there is a group of locals both selling trinkets or performing. Check it out at least once.

A very beautiful and organized neighborhood, the old buildings go back to Europe. Very well located and frequented. It's worth visiting.

Loved the style of the neighborhood, the houses, everything. During the day it is a pretty quiet area, and during the night (I didn't go) but was told it is a good place to have a few drinks and listen to music.

Barrio lastarria is a nice place to walk around, to eat, to take pictures and specially during the weekend, it has a lot going on, many street artists or musicians. And is located in a very centric place.

No big stores around this old neighborhood. You will need to take a cab or metro to the big public market or to a neighborhood towards the east to get anything other than 7-11 style express markets. The big public market... More
