A lovely stroll.

There's more to Valparaiso than the few touristy cerros. Take the trolley bus and ascensor and see the Naval museum and some local store holders sell their wares.

Not really sure why people recommend this town for visit as it is rather dull. The sea side is just a port and I can't say seeing cargo being loaded onto ships is that exciting to me.

Luckily our Hostel was just around the corner from here so we didn't have to walk much to reach it but the views are stunning! Highly recommended

People obviously go up with the little old ascensor, and that could be already part of the pleasure, but unfortunately not. You cannot have a view from it, because of the doors. Then the viewpoint comes, which doesn't offer a voww panorama. In fact, it is more exciting down there, watching local people, ships, and boats. The only thing you... More

This is not a particularly nice square, the area not looking all that safe. The Artilleria Ascensor is nice, but only to get to the Maritime Museum

Couple of stores on the street, and a bunch of restaurants. The view is supposed to be The. Best. View. in Valpa. It isn't, though if you are around I suppose is worth it. Elevator is 0.5 usd round trip (Ascensor Artilleria is the official name). Specially recommend Los 4 Vientos Restaurant ( the 4 winds), if you are into... More

Nice little walking stroll to visit history and the port of Valparaiso from top. Lots of folks selling local arts and murals at descent price. Parking is a headache even for the tour guide.

this location grants you a view over the port that is unparalleled. The paseo has this cute outdoor craft market [I always get stuff here]. And there are great coffee shops and restaurants nearby.

One of the best views over the Valparaiso bay over to Viña del Mar. Parking is a lttle bit difficult, and dog poo is on the street, be aware. Museum Naval is huge and interesting for people who like these stuff, descriptions also in English, but really Chilean naval history.

I was expecting so much more, but frankly it was the least interesting viewpoint in town. The path is very short, dirty, filled with cheap souvenir stands and offers a very boring view of shipping containers. The neighbourhood is bland, and the only thing of interest is the Naval Museum nearby. You’ll still go, but just make sure you visit... More
