We were on Coral 1 from May 7 to 10 2017. We were in a cabin on the bottom deck which was cramped. Coral 1 is an adequate boat but everything about it is dated. The food was simple and dull but not an issue...More

The Beagle sailing ship was our home for a splendid 7.5 days in the Galapagos Islands. Because the seas were so calm during our visit, we didn't have the opportunity, unfortunately, to travel under sail, so we motored from island to island, mostly in the...More

Awesome trip! Wildlife is plentiful - you can't not see it everywhere. A few comments I haven't seen elsewhere. The last minute prices for an 8 day trip are not that much cheaper than what people paid a couple of months in advance (if cheaper...More

Has Coral 1 trip at Galapagos sea. Stayed five nights and visited few islands which included land site walking and snorkeling. We had 25 people on board and ad wonderful time with them. If anyone interested in evolution of nature must visit Galapagos .

My wife and I with two friends did the 7 night western itinerary on the Anahi catamaran. I highly recommend this boat. It was a great trip and a great boat, clean, modern, and spacious. Roberto, our guide, was a fount of knowledge about the...More

Fabulous trip on Endeavour II with National Geographic/Lindblad. Great naturalists, excellent food, lots of activities. Ship holds about 96 passengers - nice size. But some random travel pointers for those of you who like tips: Get a room on the 3rd floor -- you're closer...More

Best Price Guarantee - Celebrity Cruises offers a “Best Price Guarantee” but pay attention to the fine print. In my case, this was nothing but an empty gesture. In December 2016, I booked a May 14 sailing. I made the full payment in January as...More

This was, for us, pretty well the trip of a lifetime! If you have ANY interest in natural history it is fascinating. Most days consisted of a 'hike' in the morning (not demanding although some of the ground is a little rough) viewing birds, iguanas,...More

We loved our week-long cruise in the Galapagos! The boat (Eric), crew (Ecoventura), guides, organization, activities, creatures, information, food, company were all really great. No complaints at all. The biggest downsides were getting there and home (the islands are kind of out of the way),...More

I'm planning my dream vacation to Machu Picchu, Amazon and Galapagos in September. I'm worried about the altitude sickness, and all the vaccinations I might need. I'll go to a travel clinic in a couple of months, but would like to get some info before. Thanks.

We had gone to Lhasa in June and we had altitude sickness, even my 11 y.o. daughter experienced it with all the walking up stairs. But we really did not have any problems in Quito. We did not go to Peru so I cannot answer... More
We are considering a trip to Ecuador + Galapagos and Peru this fall. Looking at Alexander Roberts and Nat. Geographic small ships. There are 3 of us in our 70s; healthy but not sure we can climb up mountains. We can snorkel and I can dive. Wondering if any of these small ships have a suite so the 3 of us can stay together. Does anyone have experience with either of these tours? Thanks Elena
