A bit crowded on my visit, but worth the walk uphill to see it. Grand entrance and walkways don't disappoint and you really appreciate the history and architectural craftsmanship as you explore the inner and outer surroundings. Time we'll spent.

I was lucky I entered during a communion mass, the church was full of faith, happiness and poeple singing, it was absolutely amazing and all the more as the architecture, wood ornaments, gold paintings... are spectacular!!! Go, go, go!

I think the prettiest in Quito, but don’t miss any chance to visit all of the churches , cathedrals here. All spectacular and the locals are rightfully very proud of them .

Again a stunningly gilded baroque church; photography not allowed; well worth a visit; a good place to start a visit to the old town in Quito

This was a beautiful church overlooking the square. Great sights from all different levels. For a small fee you can either take the stairs or there is an elevator. Since I always like a little extra exercise, I took the stairs. Little did I realize...More
