Had never heard of this INCREDIBLE artist, of whom Ecuadorians are very proud of. His work is movingly powerful, and the actual museum is beautifully designed. His works range from haunting to tender, anger to frustration to love. In addition to his own works in...More

Guayasamin House Museum and the Capilla del Hombre is a must see in Quito. While Capilla del Hombre was great and has some original art work of the painter, what really amazed me was his house museum. It's unbelievable! I fell in love with it...More

Guayasamin house/museum is a must-do in Quito. All the visits are guided, with very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides. Lots of art to admire, so well organized and telling an amazing story about the expression and life of Guayasamin. I will definitely go back again

it's pretty out of the way up some steep hills. get a taxi, it's a cheap fare and a difficult walk, especially if it's hot.
