Yet another huge and very impressive church in Quito. No charge to enter this one. Located on one of the old town walking routes which are all worth doing.

The church is beautiful, and is the first one in the USA. Must stop to take photos. They have a little store inside the church if you are catholic you can find lots of things

One after the other, the churches in my list to visit in Quito were closed during my visit. This attraction is no exception! Behind it however, are a beautiful garden with water sprinklers and a statue of St.Agustin. Hope to see this church open before I leave Quito!

I finally got there when it was open and I wasn't disappointed. It was lavish and ornate inside, a very special place to visit

This is one of my favorite churches in Quito, it has so much history and probably the best paintings from the colonial era. they are still restoring some work but its magestic construction is very impressive

Another church. Yes, but again beatiful. I had a glimpse inside (i was a bit churched-out for the day) but it still struck me as very pretty, both from the outside and inside.
