You can see La Virgin del Panecillo from all over the city. The city bus tour stops here and I think that is the best way to travel - alternatively you need a taxi, don't suggest that you try to walk. The views from here...More

You should include this on any trip to Quito. The open top bus stops here otherwise it's a bit of a taxi ride. You can go up the monument for a view of the city I believe. Good views if not too cloudy.

Don't go alone as the approach is in a sketchy neighborhood. We took a car and had no issues. Best view is slightly downhill on the face side looking back up.

This is a really fun place to stroll around and gaze out at the vast city of 2.6 million below you. Take the double-decker bus tour that stops here. Eat at "Pim's" restaurant for great food and a breath-taking view of the sprawling city and...More

The first morning, I saw the Virgin in the distance from my hotel room. The sunshine reflecting off her face was wonderful. Later visiting the Virgin was even more interesting. I think this is a must see in Quito.

It's a bit of a trek to get to from downtown but it's well worth jt for the mesmerising views of Quito and the surrounding mountains. It's a nice monument, striking to look at with a small plaza or park around it where you can...More

I really enjoyed going up to see La Virgin del Panecillo. It's really a beautiful statue and different than how you typically see the Virgin Mary. I thought it was very interesting. The views of the city were great! I believe that this is something...More

This statue is unusual, because it's made of aluminum plates. Its location above Quito offers the visitor wonderful panoramic views of the city.

Hi. I think the museum closes at 6h30 pm. So you'll have a chance to catch the sunset.
