We happened upon this cultural center while walking around Old Town. It had an interesting photography exhibit called "La intimidad es politico". Free entrance. There were also photos from the Pantone skin color exhibit.

While it was free to enter I would have been upset if I paid and found what I did afterwards. There was not much at all of interest. Maybe it was just the current exhibition did not grab me but I certainly was not impressed.

Always love Centro Cultural Metropolitano. There are art exhibitions all the time and there is no entrance fee. You have access to the library there also. On most normal days, you could see the hard working students of El Colegio Mejia like library mice eating...More

Once inside the building opens up into a number of courtyards. Some great ceiling decorations. Ancient book copying machines on display. Lovely library.

Free to get in, this museum currently has some nice photos of several Latin American country's peoples. Although they have English translations introducing some of the photographers, I thought it could be much improved by having captions on each photo explaining what the photo is...More

Huge under-utilized space. Occasional interesting piece of sculpture but you will find more "works of art or culture" in your typical city block.
