A place to escape the smog and the noisy errands of Quito city. Go for a run or a walk, or just to calm your mind doing yoga. You will be gifted to spot at least 4 different types of Humming Birds, Vermilion Flycatcher or the Southern Yellow-billed Grossbeak.

It's a little way away from the center of town but was worth the US$7 we paid for the taxi to take us there. The park is huge with several trails that go round the park. The dominant trees are eucalyptus, introduced from Australia, so apart from feeling like we were at home the eucalyptus smell was a very nice... More

As Quito can become pretty dense at some hours of the day, I recommend a walk (and a nap? ) at La Carolina. They are tons of nice places to rest. There is also some permanent exhibitions or museums. And the Botanical garden which is really worth a visit too. Have fun !!

The park is twice the size of Central Park in NYC with vistas both east and west that are spectacular. The variety of trails will fit any interest. Plenty of picnic areas and play areas for the kids.

We love to visit this park on Sunday afternoons as a family. This is a great spot to take a picnic lunch and a blanket. There are a lot of different places to choose from and several playgrounds for children to enjoy. With hiking trails, a soccer field, a dog park, and covered shelters, you have several options to choose... More

Nice trees, great trails, excellent views and vistas from a number of look-outs throughout the park. Great place to bring your dog for a walk. The park is very clean and all the facilities are well maintained. BBQ areas can be rented for weekend outings.

If you want a little break I will go here... the main difference with La Carolina Park is that this one is not in the middle of the city... and its a forest so u will get more nature around you. If u take the time to round it you will enjoy wonderful landscapes of Quito

The best park in Quito. Better if you go in groups. Some woman have been attacked so is better if you don't go by your self. Besides that is a great place.

I had a few hours to spare while waiting for a friend so I decided to check out this huge green space that I noticed took up a lot of space on my map. As others have stated here, it's beautiful, natural, close to the city and sports some impressive views. However, right at the back of the park around... More

This is a huge park with different kind of forests and open spaces with sports fields and games for children. It is perfect for training, you have great bike and running trails. There are people that train there even by night, I try to go only with daylight..
