I cannot say enough good things about ENIGMA Adventure Tours. They were wonderful, as was our guide Ludwig Llamas. ENIGMA assisted us in organizing our tour and Ludwig briefed us before our trek of the Inca Trail. He was also a source of endless information about Peruvian history and the Incas. We purchased a private tour which enabled us to... More

We did the 4 day/3 night Inca Trail trek and it was just incredible. The trek itself was physically demanding (in my late 50's), but the guides were always checking on the group to make sure we were fine. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much along the trek. The food was incredible and there was certainly... More

The Inca trail was fantastic, our guides Eric and Elbin had knowledge, humor and were good leaders. However read very carefully whats included, the site is misleading and lets you think an extra porter is included, also sleeping bags but this is only for private tours. When you ask their office about it they "forget" to respond. We had office... More

I just came back from Peru. I was there on a mission trip and we ended our trip with hiking the Inca trail with our group of fifteen people. The Inca trail hike (three night four days) was organized by Enigma and it was an awesome experience. The details were well planned and very efficiently executed. Our guide Carlos was... More

Enigma is a great choice for the Inca Trail. Our guide, Edgar, did so much to create a comfortable and enlightening experience for us. The porters were so efficient - everything was always ready for us. The food that our cook was able to create on the Trail was like nectar from the gods. I'm so happy that a friend... More

In Peru, you're required to hike the Inca Trail with a tour group such as Enigma. Planning must be done months in advance to comply with the government-mandated limited foot traffic on the trail (Enigma makes it worth it with an early bird discount). You're likely to see tons of groups on here besides Enigma with glowing five-star reviews. The... More

My fiancée and I just finished the 4 day 3 night Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu with Enigma and had such an amazing experience. Enigma really exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend them without any reservations. We booked about 6 months in advance and with Lizbeth who is very responsive and provided lots of useful information. Our guide... More

My family decided that, despite the fact that we lived at sea level in South Florida and despite the fact that we had an 8 and 15 year old and despite the fact that we really had no hiking experience, we were going to hike the 4-day Inca Trail. Thankfully, we booked with Enigma well in advance (booked in October... More

Enigma came highly recommended to me by a friend. I usually book my own trips but i decided do to the distance of Peru from Canada i would use a tour company instead. We were pleased with their communication with setting up the trip. They were punctual, professional, friendly and informative. They made this journey to the 5 destinations painless... More

We had a wonderful guide for our 4-day (3-night) Inca Trail Trek. Erik was extremely knowledgeable, good-humored, supportive -- I can't say enough good things about him. Porters were hardworking and attentive. We were provided hot water and washrags each morning and at our arrival in each campsite; plenty of drinking water each day; and some snacks for the trail....
