We took the 4 day Inka trail hike organized by SAS. The hike was strenuous and we were prepared for each phase by Hernan, who let us know what to expect as we went along and helped us pace ourselves. This turns out to be very important to avoid the breathless panic of thinking "I'll never make it". Amazing as... More

Even though the food was delicious, the weather amazing and the trek itself fantastic, there were two way too negative points: 1st the money: The trek is immensely overpriced. Especially when booking it with SAS. They take your money for everything and anything and are way too expensive, e.g. sleeping bag costs 25$ with them while you get it everywhere... More

It is in a time of crisis when you can truly tell the value of a company. The guides at SAS really came through for me when I needed it. We had booked and prepared for our four day three night Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu. Unfortunately on the second day of our hike, I fell and dislocated and... More

These guys were fantastic. They were funny, accommodating and highly informative. The enthusiasm they have for Peru is contagious. I plan on coming back to Peru and when I do, I'll call these guys for help.

Well we booked and took the tour with SAS. The 2 day Colca Canyon trip. While the guide was nice and the trip was informative, they decided to eliminate the 2 hour hike on the first day...which was promised on the website. This is the part we were most excited about. They informed us of this while we were on... More

Firstly the pros: the food was fantastic and the porters did a great job of taking care of us. The cons: 1. our tents leaked when it rained. Luckily it only rained heavily on the last night. 2. Our guide was very unprofessional. Though we expected to leave at 5:10am as specified by SAS he told us at the orientation... More

Let's go best first, had Elias, and Enran ( hope I'm spelling that right) above and beyond, from personal ( daughter and wife, head of the hike, yours truly, end of the hike), to professional, to group to individual, ABSOLUTLY ASTOUNDING ! Now the crap. SAS has absolutely no comprehension, that this hike is on your time. Planned over a year... More

I purchased a Short Inca Trail 5 day package and they did a great job of organizing everything. They were responsive before, answering questions promptly and the tour was well organised. I did the one day hike, took my time on the trail and had a blast. The guide John was awesome and never made me feel as if I... More

I take groups of students to Peru each year (this is the 6th time) and sometimes we do the 4D/3N trek and sometimes the 2D/1N trek. Each time we have used SAS travel for our guides and tours and each time we've really enjoyed ourselves. This year our Guide was Fredy. He has been working as a guide for a... More
