Our ayahuasca retreats have been developed with both Andes Qero and Amazonian Shipibo Shaman. The retreat is run in a traditional manner extending from the way the plant medicine is prepared to the ancient knowledge and customs of the Shipibo and Qero cultures. The traditional base of the retreat is tempered with modern medical practices to ensure our guest safety and allow them to assimilate the experience in the best way possible.

I love Etnikas and the staff. These people will make you feel safe and loved which is what you want if is your 1st time trying Ayahuasca. A bit pricey for 5 day ceremony but it's worth it! Everyone has a different experience but you must be there for the right reasons or you could be in for a bad... More

Have not been there, however I sent an email & resume regarding a program listed on their website, and received back an abrupt/curt one line response that the program was no longer available. Not even a "thank you for your interest." Not terribly personable, or personalized, and the rudeness of it makes me question whether I'd even want to be... More

Imagine sitting for your first Ayahuasca ceremony and being taken care of by a medical doctor, a nurse, the retreat coordinator a Shaman and an Andean Priest. The next day the Shaman, The Doctor, a Psychologist and the retreat coordinator meet with you to talk about your experiences and help to translate what you went through the night before. I... More

I did a 8 day retriet with Etnikas, that included also some social work. I felt a bit sceptical when first arriving, shamans and spirits are so unfamiliar in my culture but I decided to go with an open mind. And now, a week later I practically cannot find the words to describe how amazing the whole experience was. I... More

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Etnikas. In January 2017 I did the 7 day package - 5 day ayahuasca retreat and 2 days at Machu Picchu. The retreat location is beautiful, the staff are some of the most professional and caring people I've ever met. Everything was so well planned and executed - the ceremonies, meetings,... More

I served in a 3 day retreat at Etnikas with the purpose of self healing and building a stronger connection with the divine. Etnikas was the perfect place to achieve this as the staff never left my side during the ceremony (the nurse held my hand, the doctor constantly checked on me and the coordinator walked me to and from... My visit to Etnikas was phenomenal. I came here to help heal emotional wounds, but wound up having an experience that I can only describe as divine. First, I have to mention the staff and support team - the nurse, doctor, psychologists, and the shamans were truly wonderful, and supported every participant fully. Ayahuasca ceremonies are very taxing on every... More

I had already taken part in Ayahuasca ceremonies when I decided to book at Etnikas. I booked the 5 day retreat, and so had an additional 3 ceremonies at Etnikas. The location and surroundings are beautiful. Under breathtaking Apu’s (mountains) of the Andes. Initially I wasn’t so sure about sharing a room with people right after intense ceremonies, but it... My experience at Etnikas was life changing. Truly one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Both the decision to try Ayahuasca, and the decision to try it at Etnikas, were the best choices I could have made. I went with my girlfriend and we did the 3 day, 2 ceremony retreat which was perfect. As... More

I have just returned from a 3 day retreat at Etnikas and cannot express how grateful i am for this wonderful place. Everything for me, was perfect, from the authentic ceremonies to the delicious breakfasts, the beautiful grounds to the professionalism of the staff. The care of the nurses, doctor and other staff throughout the night was flawless. There was... More
