We just finished the classic 4D / 3N Inka Trail trek with Alpaca Expeditions and cannot say enough how truly wonderful the experience was. Our guides--Manuel and Manolo--were the perfect combination of energetic, funny, helpful, and motivating. Our group really came to love them. They also taught us so much about the Inka culture and helped shape a truly cohesive... More

First off, I don't generally write reviews. This trip was so amazing it got me to write one, so there's that in the first place. Imagine the comfort of bougie camping without the stigma. Basically, this trip provides everything you need - from incredible accommodations, to unbeatable food and to an unforgettable experience. For a family trip (or trip with... More

From start to finish, my experience with Alpaca Expeditions was superb! In the planning stages, correspondence with Alpaca staff was prompt and effective, always helpful. Thank you Eliana! 4D/3N private Inca Trail trek... this was an unforgettable experience with many thanks to our 5 star team of porters, chef Julio Cezar, and our guide Carlos Coronel! Seamless... what a team!... More

Me Father and I had the best ever experience ever. We chose Alpaca because of the fair use of porters and local people. The Salkantay trail is tough and we are regular hikers but one of the most special things we have ever done. Lizandro & Erwin were our guides and they were fabulous. The porters are incredible always pulling... More

Went with a group of 4 couples in April 2017. Our guide, Miguel Mayarga, could not have been better as he had a firm grasp of English and was well versed in local history and culture. A challenging hike with fantastic views for the payoff. Food was excellent. There were other tour groups out there but my impression was that... More

We did the 2D/1N Inka Trail with Alpaca Expeditions, our guide was Yoel. It has been one of the best experiences of our lives. Yoel was a great guide and he really made the experience even better thanks to his extensive knowledge, interesting stories and great personality. I would totally recommend both Alpaca Expeditions and Yoel.

Hi, We just arrived home from an 18 day trip to Peru and I wanted to share the experience we were a part of with Alpaca Expeditions. We did a 4 day trek of the Inca Trail arriving at Machu Picchu and it completely exceeded our expectations. We honestly wouldn't have changed a thing other then maybe a little more... More

Our original plan was to do the 2 day Inca Trek. After we had booked and shortly before leaving, there was some issues with landslides and the route being rerouted (not their fault) so it was decided to scrap the Inca Trail. The company was great in helping us come up with another itinerary that worked for all of us.... More

Had the most awesome experience with Alpaca Expeditions. We did the 4 day Inca Trail trek, and my expectations were beyond exceeded. Alpaca was extremely organized, and the food was UNREAL. I don't eat that well at home, nevermind in a tent on a trek. The chef and porters were excellent. Our experience was made extra special thanks to our... More

Our 4 day/3 night Inka Trail trek was awesome from start to finish. Jamie, Fletcher and the rest of the team were knowledgeable about the ruins and had us set up on the best campsites during our trek and were all super friendly. The food was great too, the chef surprised us at every meal with mountains of delicious food.... More
