This is an excellent and relaxing way to see the countryside while travelling to MP. Efficient and comfortable. They narrate points of interest along the way. Well worth it!

Be sure to book your ride in the daylight, it was spectacular. Riding in comfort! The kids had snacks and drinks while we played cards and sat awestruck at the scenery.

I wouldn't trust PeruRail with anything. Leave it at your hotel if at all possible.
