This is a beautiful square for shopping, eating, and sightseeing. It's especially striking at twilight as the street lights on the distant hills start twinkling.

I believe that the weather in Cusco also helps, because when I visited it it was cold but very sunny, so everything looked very beautiful to me, the oposite of Lima, the capital of Peru. This square was extremely beautiful, I loved it. And also...More

Beautiful day and night. This square is full of activity from the moorish architecture to the churches to the fountains. It's enchanting.

Plaza de Armas is an excellent central area. Many bars and restaurants around. Children doing organized dance in the streets. The beautiful Cathedral is in Plaza de Armas. Only problem is the vendors pester you while you walk around. Must visit in Cusco

The Plaza de Armas is your typical main square. It has lots of restaurants to choose from, although with shops, banks and a cathedral. The cathedral steps is a great place to sit and people watch.
