If you haven't seen enough amazing Quechua stonework at the other sites you've visited, and have a few spare minutes in the afternoon, then this might be a worthwhile stop. It's a 8-10' walk from the entrance and is a small but picturesque site. Tambomachay...More

A small site accessed via a short uphill walk. For those new to altitude, take it slowly. The stonework is impressive as all Incan stonework seems to be. The freely running water and mountain backdrop certainly provide atmosphere. Avoid the peddlers - not good quality.

The place that was meant to be visited by the royals when it was built is now open for us. The water runs cold here and was meant to purify souls and bodies. Also our tour guide warned fake llama and alpaca items are being...More

Apart from the interesting walk to reach the sites, it was evident how important this purification baths were for the Inca Uber classes and nobility. The place, the architecture, the water engineering is impressive and it conveys a great feeling of serenity

If one goes early, one can have the place to themselves before the tour busses arrive. Place requires a gradual uphill climb and restrooms are available at the entrance. Bring your own Paper.

Small area of ruins but interesting history of the high class and lower class bathing/purification buildings. Nice, easy walk to baths. Could access another more strenuous hiking path from here as well

Another great example of the engineering feats of the Incan civilization. Lots of steps and uneven ground.

We did this as part of a city tour of Cusco. It is interesting to see and know that the water still flows so many years after construction. However would not go out of my way to visit.

This site gives you a view of how water was moved and used in the days gone by. I visited 10 years ago and nothing has changed except a few more sellers along the walk up the hill. Some good views from the other side.
