The Salinas is quite interesting and is a great short visit. The children enjoyed the view and the short walk.

Incredible salt mine set high in the mountains of the sacred valley at over 9000 feet surrounded by some of the highest mountains in the Andes. This is one of the most amazing sights and you will have great photo opportunities.

We were not quite sure what to expect, but it was one of the most amazing things we say in Peru. The size of the field and number of pools is amazing. The photos do not do it justice.

I had no idea what the "salt mines" of Cusco would be. From the first glimpse of a mountain covered in salt pools, I was mesmerized by the Salinas de Maras, or Marasal. Wonderful surprise.

A must place to visit, amazing views and experience. Buy the salt there, since you will not find the variety someplace else.

This site is huge in scope and is stunning. These salt terraces are so old and cover such a huge area, dropping down to a cliff in a dramatic fashion. This was truly a highlight of our day in the Sacred Valley and the salted...More

Very insteresting experience, I never imagine that kind of process to produce salt, in a natural and ecological way.
