Moray is not just beautiful. There are researches (e.g. pollen studies) which support that it was really a research station to make experiments with vegetables and crops. Experiments were made on terraces of a natural pit. Experiments were needed because vegetables behave differently on different altitudes, and under different belt. I don't want to kill all the stunning details by... More

Plenty of amazing and interesting stories from tour guides that you'll never believe all you are told! Best theory is it was an agricultural experimental area but opinions divided. Take a camera and enjoy amazing views although you cannot walk down to the terraces. Be aware it's very high altitude so once you walk down to see the constructions it... More

The circle terraces at Moray are not only interesting, they also are beautiful. The hike around the site offered nice vistas and was an easy hike for my mother who is in her late 70's.

A small but impressive Incan site with beautiful circular crop terraces. It’s located just over an hour’s drive from Cusco, but can be easily visited either by hiring a taxi or as part of a day tour to Sacred Valley, along with nearby Maras & Chinchero. If you’re short of time, I recommend looking into Ragsos del Peru tour company,... More

These rings were thought to have been used as agricultural experiments to determine which plants did best. The scope of the rings is pretty amazing to see. There are other smaller rings located on either side of the site. You cannot walk down to the center but there is a path that goes around the ruins. It is covered by... More

We enjoyed our two hour visit to this attraction. The setting in the imposing mountains around it, the high altitude, fresh air and clear sky made for an awesome setting. One can do quite a bit of walking around the ruins - we found this quite interesting.

If you are in the Sacred Valley area it is something to do on a nice day. You cannot walk down to the circles so it is photo op only. Trekking poles would be helpful for the ascend.

My husband and I enjoyed the stroll around this site. However, because you could only walk around it and not run up and down the terraces, my children were disappointed. But the lack of people on the terraces improved my photography and it was a quick sightseeing stop so I would do it again

This is a very beautiful sight, where you can walk around, up and down, to see these grass hills. Our guide book said that it would only be around 5-7 soles to get in, but when we got there, our guide told us it was 70(!!) soles each, for a tourist pass that you needed to get in. We started...
