I needed a way to continue to train for a half marathon, but also enjoy my vacation. I found Lima Running Tours. I had a wonderful time during the Bohemian Run. My guide, Erick, was on time, knowledgeable about all the sights, and had tons of running experience. He was able to run at a comfortable pace where I could enjoy the tour, but also burn calories. Forget the hotel gym, sign up for a Lima Running Tour! I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed!!

Since I was going to run every other day in Lima anyway, I was thrilled to see a flyer for this company thinking it would be a different way to take a tour. Im so glad I did. Erick Gallegos was my guide, and im glad to have met him. I found him to be very friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He took me to many sights I would never had known I should see and it helped give me a little more sense of direction while being in an unfamiliar city.
I wish these types of tours were everywhere i want to travel:)

It was nice to do a run in a new city with a local - it took all the worry away from being lost, and it was great to have 'running' commentary on the local sights.

For you runners out there looking for a great way to tour the city of Lima while keeping fit, I highly recommend checking out Lima Running Tours. Tours are personally guided in English or Spanish by well qualified and experienced staff. I had 3 one on one running tours in the city covering areas such as the Centro Historico, San Ysidro, and Barranco/Miraflores. Jose Porachena, my guide, was an excellent host with a vast knowledge of the city's history and culture. Each tour is tailored to individual preference of distance and pace with ample opportunity for brief stops for Q&A, and discussions about the city's key sites. This is a vastly more intimate experience of beautiful Lima than I could have ever expected. Reasonably priced and a lot of fun too!

This was a new way to explore a city for me and I loved it. You can go solo or in a group of friends. You have the guide all to yourself so you're able to ask as many questions as you'd like, stop and take as many pictures as you want, and go at your desired pace. I would definitely recommend this option to fellow runners!

I appreciate the fact that Erick met me at my hotel not only on-time but early. He gave me a bottled water and carried it inside his backpack which left me unhindered to enjoy the run. He and I ran a beautiful course along Miraflores and Barranco districst of Lima, including a spectacular view of the Green Coast. Erick was kind enough to take my pictures during the run and presented me with a souvenir T-shirt after the run. Erick then emailed me the pictures. Erick is knowledgeable about the places we visited and in the field of athletics. He even shared a tip about running! I highly recommend Erick of Lima Running Tours!

Erick from Lima Running Tours met me at the hotel I was staying on a beautiful Sunday morning. He asked me what was my fitness level and how fast and far do I wanted to go.
As he knows all the "hidden secrets" of Lima we took alternative streets rather than the main avenues. We did a mix of San Isidro and Miraflores districts for about 1 hour where I could see many beautiful places along the way.
There is always time to stop and appreciate the view, take a picture and drink water. It is also extremely informative as the guide/trainer can tell you about the city history, politics, etc.
I would recommend this "tour" to anyone who would like to do see Lima in different, fun way.

The Lima Running Tour was a great experience. Ericke was a great guide and pace setter. You can go as fast or as slow as you want. Highly recommend the tour to see parts of the city.

I wanted to do more tours but only ended up running the Cliffs and Parks tour. Recommended. Go early to beat the heat and enjoy.

I met my bilingual tour guide, Jose, in downtown Lima at the Plaza de Armas - the charming city center, which is home to some of the oldest buildings and most European architecture in the city.

Before the tour began, Jose asked me what pace I'd like to run and how far, provided bottled water, and once we were on the tour, allowed me to stop and take photos whenever I wanted to. I also received a t-shirt, and was emailed action-packed photos of the run!

One of the best parts was being able to ask questions about any or all of the sites. Jose, a native of Lima, has a vast knowledge of the history of the city. He was also able to share some social and political background to make the tour even more interesting.

I highly recommend this personalized tour as a great way to get to know Lima in a unique and athletic way!

As someone relatively new to fitness, the initial idea of a running tour was daunting. However Ericke immediately put me at ease by explaining the route, guiding me on the pace and stopping at various sites for water and to take photos of stunning views. He introduced me to breathtaking panoramic views of the bay in little-known spots. His knowledge of the city, its history as well as its architectural evolution is exceptional. This is an extraordinary opportunity to see both hidden Lima and the more traditional sites at pace. Enjoy!
