LIMA WALKS offers guided walks in Lima. With an uninterrupted history of more than 2000 years, Lima is perhaps the most fascinating city in the continent. In many ways, it's a hidden city and the best way to appreciate its architectural and historical richness is by walking. Ancient pre-Columbian temples, Colonial churches and mansions, abandoned haciendas, Republican houses, early XX Century buildings and modern villas, all share a space, side by side, in this amazing city - surely the Americas' best kept secret.LIMA WALKS offers 11 architectural/historical walks, of which four in the historic centre and six in different districts, and two gastronomy walks, one on ingredients in the Peruvian cuisine and the other on regional gastronomy. The walks can be done in English, German, Spanish or Dutch. As of 10 dollar per person

Ronald gave a great tour. He is very knowledgeable and a good communicator. We had a custom tour for our small group, and he did every thing we asked for, and was patient when we needed to stop at the bank and for snacks.

Ronald was great to work with as we planned our full day walking tour of lima (well it included four van rides). He is very knowledgeable and has an easy going style. His explanations at the Larco Antiquities museum really made a museum lively. The Aliaga House, a Conquistadors home that has been in that family for centuries, was the... More

Ronald Eldward, an architect, gave us an excellent tour in English tying Lima's history with lima's buildings' architecture. He picked us up at our hotel at a mutually agreed upon time. He included our special requests into his normal tour and gave us helpful information on transportation and other places we should visit while on our own during the remainder... More

We recently used Lima Walks for a tour of centro historico in Lima. Well worth it. Rosabella picked us up at our miraflores hotel and we took a taxi to the city center. She was a great guide and was passionate and knowledgeable about the architecture and layout of the historic center. We saw and learned about many things that... More

We had a great walk with Javier, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, architecture and current situation in Lima. Highlights for us were seeing parts of the city that we wouldn't otherwise see - for example abandoned colonial mansion taken over by families in Lima. Definitely go into Casa Aliaga, an amazing house that you need a guide to... More

My father and I went on a 6-hour walking tour of Lima with Javier on the first day of our 2-week trip to Peru, and it served as a good introduction to the city as well as the country. Javier shared with us not only the history of Lima and its suburbs but also what's happening at the moment with... More

Mr. Javier was a wonderful guide. He is knowledgeable, witty and articulate. He grew up in Lima but has lived in the US and London, so his English is excellent but he also has a passion for the historic heritage of Lima. We were a group of 7 and everyone was very pleased. Outstanding value!

This walking tour was fantastic! Ronald was very interesting, informative and had excellent answers to all of our questions (and we had a lot!). Taking this tour of downtown Lima allowed us to see many places we would have either not noticed or not entered on our own. Communication was a breeze, and Ronald met us at or hotel and... More

We had only two days in Lima and were not sure what we could see in such a short period, which fell on the Easter weekend. After reading many positive reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to go with Lima Walks. We didn't regret it! From the start, communicating with Ronald was very easy. He helped make recommendations for our tours,... More

Two years ago we were getting ready for an unforgettable journey to Peru and the highlight in Lima was "our walking tour around Plaza de Armas " with Ronald Elward to see and experience the many historical places, churches and the elegant Casa Aliaga. We have to thank Ronald for this highly informative and educational walking tour, we have seen... More
