As we walked through this place we were wondering how they raised the funds to rebuild it recently. With only 500 know Jews left in the area, this was a BIG job.

Interesting museum in beautifully restored ancient synagogue still used for services once a year. Easy to find in the heart of town.

This synagogue wasn't destroyed and is original with modifications over time . The ceiling is beautiful and it has an excellent display of the history of Jewish people in the city and through out the wars .
