Whilst only a single room, it is a very necessary addition to the cultural tapestry of Sarajevo and built at the site when Princep assassinated Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand. Highly educational; one learns much about Austro-Hungarian Bosnia from it.

The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand on June 28, 1914 led to the global turmoil of the Great War (1914-1918), and arguably after a 21 year break, to WW II. This museum is situated on the corner where the assassination happened, and for that alone...More

We were quite excited to visit the museum and learn more about the assassination that triggered WW1. However, as this wasn't the main focus it was a bit of a let down. We left feeling disappointed, although the staff were friendly.

A good starting point for newcomers to the story of bosnia and the lead up to ww1. As a history teacher I did not learn much that I did not already know. Great and helpful staff and worth the four mark enterence fee

the museum is rather small, but I recommend it for those who want to understand the longtime Balkans' complicated sociopolitical situation.

Unbelievable how kind nice and helpful the employee. So polite and cooperative. The museum is small yet it gives you nice idea about Sarajevo. Particularly the association of The Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. With video and slides to explore about it in details. I...More

The museum is tiny and I don't think I learnt much more than I already knew about the event that 'started' WW1. Entry was 4 BAM, In hindsight I would have preferred to buy myself several ice creams instead.

I didn't expect to spend an hour here, but the extremely informative English-language plaques did a wonderful job of contextualizing the exhibits, documenting local history from the prehistoric era through WWI. I particularly loved the model of the nineteenth-century city that dominates the ground floor.

The museum itself is a tiny one so it's quite cheap. There is only one room. You can follow the history on a chronological basis. There are items from that area and description of the items. You can also check a computer with more information...More

Very small, not informative, a very overdramatized five minutes movie plays all the time. The pictures you can easily find on google. The memorial plate on the outside is the most interesting thing.
