It's a quiet and serene place. I was welcomed in and was able to view all parts of the building, speak to local people and take photos.

This mosque was designed by the leading Ottoman architect Sinan. It's small, but perfectly proportioned, and beautifully restored inside with stained glass windows. Open to the public outside prayer hours with friendly staff ready to answer questions.

It is defenitly worth it to visit this Mosque. I think the inside is very beautiful, especially the ceiling.

This is the only functional mosque still operating in Sofia. Non-Muslims can visit during non-prayer time. It is small inside but it is a jewel of a mosque. Women must wear headscarves and everyone must take his/her shoes off.
