Set in a quiet park, with admission at 4 lev (discount for pensioners) this museum has a really great collection of gemstones, some incredibly large but all labelled in English and Bulgarian. One aisle devoted to uses of minerals. The museum also has a small...More

It place is gloomy and the lights were dim. The exhibits have not been updated and it has practically nothing written in english. Dusty and not maintained at all.

It seems like someone forgot this huge building somewhere in the 1970s . Dirty, dusty, disorganized and it seems like they mostly use it for events as a rent-a-hall. VERY SAD!!! Don't bother going there.

The collection of stones is not the best in the world but very good though. Very badly (or not) illuminated in this sovjet style museum that others would call "old charm" perhaps.

This museum has an amazing collection of huge crystals. All the displays are in Bulgarian, so I didn't really learn anything, but loved it anyway. Shame they don't have a gift shop selling little polished stones to,take home.

There are thousands of exhibits, but little labeling in English. There are a few posters presumably advising how the crystals were formed and where on earth they can be found however none of these are in English - a shame.
