Loved the changing of the guard!

The ceramic tile work on the roof is beautiful and worth a hike up the hill. If you are there on particular holidays you will get to see the changing of the guard on horseback!

St. Mark's Church is not the biggest and not the main church but it is very representative, facing the Croatian Parliament, Constitutional Court and other important buildings. For Easter it was full till the last corner. Nice feeling listening to the singing. Square around the church was empty. Just Chinese tourists were walking around.

It can hardly be said that you have seen Zagreb unless you have seen the church of St Marc's and the marvelous surroundings. You have the impression that the whole soul of the city is hidden under its colorful roof. Must see.

Architecture of this church is although small but with the coat of arms on the roof, makes this a unique sight!

St Mark's church is located in the upper town of Zagreb. If you are taking a walk in that part of town you can't miss it, it's distinguished by a colorful roof with the seals of the city of Zagreb and several regions of Croatia on the roof. Other than during church services, the interior is closed to tourists.

Really colorful exterior for a Church, with the multi-colored roof tiles and crests. We returned twice in hopes of entering the Church but it is apparently almost never opened from what I was told. Nevertheless the exterior is very photogenic and there is much to see in the area.
